While it’s normally not a good thing when an entrepreneur’s pitch puts us to sleep, Sana founder Richard Hanbury thrilled us by doing just that. With years of research in his back pocket, and early prototypes tested by the likes of Sir Richard Branson, Hanbury challenged us to develop a consumer-ready version of his proof-of-concept device. Many generations of prototype later, inducing sleep in designers and investors alike along the way, Spanner delivered a sleek and well-integrated design, and Sana is poised to disrupt the pharmaceutical foundation of treatment for chronic pain and sleep disorders.
